  • Cash Compensation = Base Salary + Bonus + Commission + Overtime
  • Employer-Paid Benefits = Health + Dental + Vision + Life Insurance + Disability Insurance premiums paid by employer
  • Retirement & Savings = 401(k)/Retirement Match + Pension Contribution + HSA/FSA Contribution
  • PTO Value = (PTO Days + Paid Holidays) × Daily Rate, where Daily Rate = Base Salary ÷ 260
  • Perks & Allowances = Tuition + Transportation + Wellness + Equity + Other

Assumptions & References

  • A standard work year of 260 working days (52 weeks × 5 days) is used to calculate the daily rate for PTO valuation.
  • All values are entered and displayed in annual (yearly) terms. Monthly equivalent is derived by dividing the annual total by 12.
  • Employer-paid insurance premiums represent the portion paid by the employer, not the employee's payroll deduction.
  • Equity / stock award values should reflect the estimated annual vesting value, not the total grant value.
  • This calculator does not account for taxes. Total rewards figures are pre-tax gross values.
